Because your Media Library lives on each device (see "Your film library lives on your device"), a clip you saved on your phone is not automatically on your laptop. Most of the time that is exactly what you want. When it is not, moving a clip is simple, and you stay in control of the file the whole way.
Every app gives you two tools.
Open the clip and tap Share. Your phone's own share sheet pops up. From there you can:
AirDrop it straight to your Mac or iPad (a few seconds, Apple device to Apple device).
Text it or email it to yourself.
Send it to any app you already use.
Download (works everywhere)
Open the clip and tap Download. The file saves to that device. Now move it however you already move files:
A cable from phone to computer.
Your own cloud drive (Google Drive, iCloud, Dropbox, whatever you have).
A USB stick.
Email it to yourself and open it on the other device.
Then, on the other device, open the file in the app and save it to that library. That is it.
This is the whole idea of the app: these are your files. We do not park them in our cloud and hand them back to you on our terms. You download, you share, you move them wherever you want, on whatever you already use. No lock-in, no permission needed from us.
